This workshop is for grades 4-8 ELA teachers looking to encourage or increase their students’ excitement about reading. Using insights from Donalyn Miller and Kelly Gallagher, participants will gain practical, research-based strategies to engage students, foster independent reading, and build a strong reading culture. Teachers will leave with clear ideas to motivate reluctant readers, encourage diverse book choices, and create meaningful classroom discussions and experiences that inspire a love of reading.
