This engaging workshop will share practical, classroom-tested strategies to motivate students and build a strong reading culture. Grounded in the work of Donalyn Miller and Kelly Gallagher, participants will explore research-based approaches to support independent reading, encourage diverse book choices, and engage even reluctant readers.

All of the strategies shared were used in the presenter’s own classroom and offer authentic examples and ideas teachers can implement next year!

Note – This session is a repeat presentation from Summer 2025 due to strong interest and positive feedback.
