June 15 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Teaching literary analysis can feel like asking students to leap from plot summary straight into complex essays. This session introduces The Literary Analysis Bridge, a practical framework that helps students move from scaffolded support to confident analytical writing. We’ll examine common obstacles that prevent deeper thinking and explore targeted strategies for building key subskills like selecting evidence, writing commentary, and connecting details to larger ideas. Participants will leave with a clear progression for teaching analysis, adaptable for grades 7–12, along with ready-to-use ideas for helping students move beyond summary and develop stronger, more independent literary thinking.
Registration closes on June 12, 2026, or when the participant cap is reached.
