June 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Traditional research papers often prioritize a thesis-driven approach, but what if we focused on the process of learning and challenging assumptions instead? The I-Search Paper offers an alternative by blending narrative and synthesis writing, encouraging students to reflect on their research journey, questions, and discoveries. In this session, participants will explore the I-Search Paper model, which emphasizes student agency, critical thinking, and self-reflection while still meeting academic standards. Attendees will learn how to guide students in crafting a narrative that weaves their personal learning process with research findings, allowing for deeper engagement and ownership of their work. By the end of the session, educators will leave with tools, examples, and strategies to implement this innovative approach in their classrooms.
Registration closes on June 24, 2025, or when the participant cap is reached.
